في أكتوبر من العام 2020 قضت محكمة الإسرائيلية بطرد اثنتي عشرة أسرة فلسطينية بالقوة من حي الشيخ جراح الذي يقع في القدس الشرقية، وتزويد المستوطنين الإسرائيليين بممتلكاتهم. ولم يعد أمام بعض الأسر سوى حتى الشهر المقبل لإخلاء منازلها، مما أدى إلى تعرض أكثر من خمسمائة وخمسين فلسطينيًا لخطر التجريد
